Society6 Can Cooler Review

Since summer is in full swing I thought it’d be a good time to do a Society6 can cooler review.

I’ve had them for a few years now and they’re pretty awesome!

These can coolers, also known as can koozies or coozies, live in my “camping box” and get tossed around quite a bit. They’ve been on several camping trips and beach days with me.

I’m pleased to say the designs have held up nicely, as you can see from the photos!

But the main thing is how well do they work? They insulate very well. Like 30 degrees on the beach (85 F) and I can finish the whole drink while it stays cool well. To me that is a total win. I no longer have to pour out the rest of my drink because it got warm and gross.

The Society6 can coolers are are also very light weight. This makes them perfect to throw into a beach bag or take on a backpacking trip.

As you can see they can fit both regular sized cans as well as bottles!

Hey guys, today I’m sharing my Redbubble haul and product review in video format!

Have you ever wondered what Redbubble products look like in real life? I do, so over the years I have bought several products from my own Redbubble store. I have so many now that I decided to make a video to share some of them with you!

This video is for people who are either looking to buy products from Redbubble or sell their artwork on there and want to know what the products look like in real life.

The products shown in the video below include stickers, both regular and transparent, the a-line dress, face mask, sleeveless top, chiffon top, coasters, a t-shirt, socks, and scarf.

The products in this Redbubble haul and product review video all feature my own designs which can be purchased from my Redbubble store.

Redbubble Scarf Review

I purchased a scarf from Redbubble a few years ago and realized I should review it! I really love the scarf and wear it often in the fall and winter to add a pop of colour to my outfit. Read on for my full review of Redbubble scarves.

Redbubble Scarf Review

The material is silky and soft to the touch.
The print is beautiful and slightly brighter than the mockup image on Redbubble’s website (see below).
It can be worn so many different ways due to it’s large size (55 x 55 inches).
The perfect accessory for fall or spring. It can also be worn in winter if you live in a milder climate like I do.

Redbubble Scarf Features

From Redbubble’s website they mention:

Full print is visible on the front and reverse
Microfiber polyester with a slightly transparent effect
Hand wash only. Do not dry clean or tumble dry.

I’ve never had to wash the scarf, so don’t let the hand wash only scare you away. Unless you dropped it in the mud it most likely won’t need to be washed very often.

As you can see the scarf is really long! It could be worn as a sarong skirt over a bathing suit if you wanted, and also looks cute as a shoulder wrap. It would be great for traveling to places where you might have to cover your shoulders or head in certain areas. Also packs down really small which is perfect for travel.

When folded over a few times the colour becomes darker. And there’s no white space or areas that the print doesn’t cover, which is just perfect.

Conclusion

Redbubble scarves are good quality and a great addition to your wardrobe. After a few years I have seen no evidence of wear and tear.

And they make excellent gifts since there are so many unique and beautiful designs to choose from, you can find something for anyone!

Review of Chalkola Chalk Markers and Chalkboard

I recently had the opportunity to test Chalkola Chalk markers and chalkboard so I thought I’d do a review of this unique product!

These are definitely a step up from the sidewalk chalk we used as kids.

They’re actually very similar to acrylic paint pens but work on different surfaces and are removable. It’s like liquid chalk paint inside the marker. You shake them up and then press down on the nib until the “paint” starts to flow.

Here’s some artwork I made with the pens, just playing around and trying them out!

After reading some of the reviews on Amazon I believe you have to use these markers with a specific type of non-porous chalk board. They won’t work with just any old chalk board, so keep that in mind if you want to use them with one you already have.

Luckily, Chalkola sells this adorable chalk board to use with them! It’s a nice portable size, and the wood has an aged look to it.

Below is a photo of the chalk board in natural lighting.

The markers also came with some metallic (non chalk) markers, and a set of sticker labels made of chalk material! I figure they could be used for jars of preserves, or other things that you might want to change the label on often.

I’ve seen some people using these chalk boards for weddings, cafe menus, back to school photo-shoots, and lots of kids’ activities.

There are so many fun uses for them!

Personally, I will be using it for drawings, to do lists, and business plans to keep me on track. I also see myself using it to jot down ideas or do mind maps/brain dumps.

These markers are also very easy to erase! It took me about a minute to clean it completely, using a wet cloth and a spritz of Windex. This was after about 2 days with the drawing left on the surface.

I haven’t tried the markers on other surfaces yet, but apparently they work on windows (removable) and rocks (non removable). So basically you can use them as like paint pens, or chalk depending on the surface.

I did notice that some of the pens required more shaking than others. If the color is not very bright or watery, it just means you need to shake it up longer. The colors should be bright and opaque. In some places I drew a second layer to make it more opaque.

Conclusion

In conclusion, these chalk markers are pretty cool and fun to play with! They could make a great Christmas or birthday gift for an artistic or crafty person. And they’re affordable too.

Redbubble Sticker Review and Haul

Stickers make everything better! I recently purchased a bunch of stickers from Redbubble so thought I’d share what I got and do a Redbubble sticker review.

I love stickers because you can take them anywhere, and put them on all sorts of things. As you can see, I’ve decorated my sketchbook on both the front and back sides with stickers from Redbubble.

Some of the stickers are my own designs, and some are from friends and artists I follow on social media.

Purchasing stickers from artists you admire is a great way to show your support for them while not breaking the bank!

Redbubble Sticker Review

Pros: The stickers are good quality, the colours are vibrant, and they stick very well. The designs have not rubbed off or faded even after several months of use. There are so many designs to choose from, and they come in 4 different sizes and 3 different styles: Matte, Glossy and Transparent.

Cons: I wish they were cut a little bit closer cut around the design and more smooth/rounded. You can trim them however, which I have done for some of them.

Overall the stickers from Redbubble are very nice and I’ve had no problems with them coming off or not sticking properly.

Conclusion

Stickers from Redbubble are perfect to decorate your notebooks, laptop, hydroflask or anywhere else you want to add some personality and flair.

They also make great gifts like stocking stuffers for Christmas or to put inside a card. I often mail stickers to my friends at Christmas time inside a greeting card. It doesn’t add to the cost since they weigh so little!

Redbubble Travel Mug Review

Are you considering getting a travel mug from Redbubble? Read this review of my new Redbubble travel mug first!

Since my work place is transitioning to having people back in the office a few days a week I wanted to get a travel mug that I could fill up at home to help cut down on the use of common areas.

So I thought, why not get one with my own artwork on it from my Redbubble store!

I chose my Pink and Gold Mandala Pattern design because I love pink and wanted to see how the artwork would turn out on a real life product.

I must say I’m impressed and pleased with how the design turned out! And I actually really like the mug itself. I’ve received several compliments on it since I started bringing it to work.

Dishwasher safe (top rack), which is great because I hate doing dishes by hand.
No scratching or fading after several washes.
Very light when empty, making it easy to throw into a purse or backpack.
Colour is vibrant and my artwork looks crisp and true to the original.
Nice mouthfeel, the little indent for the bottom lip is nicely engineered for drinking.
Good insulation. Keeps my coffee warm for a long time.

Society6 Yoga Mat Review

I’ve been getting back into yoga lately with the whole lockdown thing going on, almost practicing every day! I know a lot of other people are too and might be looking into getting a new yoga mat. Especially from Society6 since they have so many cute and unique designs created by artists like myself.

So I bought a yoga mat from Society6 with one of my mandala designs on it and thought I’d share a review of it today for those on the fence about getting one.

What I love about my yoga mat from Society6:

The artwork is vivid, crisp, and makes me happy to look at (especially since it’s my own art).
It has a nice, grippy texture (see close-up below).
It’s not too thick but squishy enough to be comfortable while lying down on the ground.
It comes with a carrying strap for easy transportation to and from the yoga studio.
Very affordable for the quality.
The perfect length for yoga practice (70″ long by 24″ wide, 1/2″ thick).

Quick note: When I first unrolled the yoga mat it had a strong chemical smell.

I assume a combination of the yoga mat material with the printing process made it smell that way.

To remedy this, my yoga teacher recommended rubbing essential oil on it. After doing that and airing it out overnight the smell did go away. Apparently this is common with a lot of yoga mats.

Beyond this initial unpleasant experience, everything else about the mat has impressed me and I absolutely love using it. Back when I was still going to in person classes, I always received compliments on the mat and people asking me where I got it from.

So if you are on the fence about getting a yoga mat from Society6, I say go for it!

Society6 Leggings Review

I purchased a pair of leggings from Society6 a little while ago. After wearing them and washing them a few times I thought I’d write up a little review for those of you who are wondering what they’re like!

I have to say I absolutely LOVE these leggings.

They’re stretchy, comfortable, and the fabric is soft and silky to the touch. The thick band around the top is sturdy and helps prevent muffin top, which is always good. I’m wearing a size Small in the image and usually wear small or medium in leggings, depending on the store.

The print, my White and Navy Blue Elephant Pattern, looks GORGEOUS. It actually looks a lot better and brighter in person than the preview images on their website.

See the contrast between the preview photos and the ones of me wearing them? They look so different! The bright blue colour is actually much closer to my original image.

These leggings are great for working out and doing yoga but also just for lounging around the house and being comfortable.

Redbubble A-Line Dress Review

I finally bought a dress from Redbubble! Since I started uploading my designs there I’ve been curious about how their A-Line dresses would look, fit, and feel. I had a hard time finding any detailed reviews of Redbubble dresses online, so I decided to write my own!

After I published my Tropical Monstera Pattern and saw how nice it looked, I had to order one for myself, figuring it would be perfect to wear for summer or a tropical vacation.

I must say I am pleased with the dress. I ordered an XS after reviewing the size chart, and it fits quite nicely. (I’m 5’0″ by the way and usually wear size S)

It took a few weeks to arrive, because I’m in Canada and it got stuck at the border for about a week (due to Customs).

Aside from a photoshoot at English Bay beach, I’ve also worn this dress to work paired with a belt and black cardigan. I even received some compliments from my co-workers!

Redbubble A-Line Dress Review

It is loose and flowy, non clingy, silky feeling, and doesn’t wrinkle easily.
It is comfortable to wear.
The print is vibrant and shows off my artwork nicely.
The light and thin fabric is not see through at all.
It would be a great garment for hot summer days or a tropical vacation.

I quite like the dress with a belt for my figure, as seen in the photo above. But, I think this dress is probably flattering for most body-types, especially with the option of a belt or no belt.

While this dress is great for hot summer days or tropical vacations, it could also be paired with a light cardigan and heels for a cute evening look.
