Hi guys! Today I am sharing with you 6 different zentangle inspired drawings I have done over the past few years.
Zentangle is basically the practice of creating art from intricate doodle-like patterns. It is said to help with anxiety and focus. The practice of Zentangle is similar to creating mandalas for therapeutic reasons.
Most of these art pieces combine elements of doodle art drawing with collage. They were all done in my sketchbook using Sharpie markers.
Several of these designs are available as prints and on other products in my Society6 storeand other shops.
This one was inspired by Easter and the flowers of Spring.
My latest creative venture involves creating these miniature zentangle inspired/collage drawings called ACEO art cards. Above is the first one I made which incorporates a woman’s face cut out from a magazine.
ACEO stands Art Cards, Editions and Originals.
ACEO’s are miniature artworks the size of baseball cards, 2.5 x 3.5 inches in size. They are a spin off of ATC’s or Artist Trading Cards. ACEO’s are highly collectible (and affordable), and come in a variety of styles. You can often find them for sale on eBay and other websites.
Here are some more zentangle inspired mini art cards I’ve created:
This is my latest piece, drawn with my new Faber Castel Pitt artist pens combined with collage.
I am trying to work a little bit with shading to make them really pop!

Hey guys! Today I’m sharing my new zentangle inspired drawing of a skull with headphones!
It is inspired by my recent trip to Ibiza where I saw lots of t-shirts with similar designs but not tangled like this one is.I drew this design using Faber-Castell Pitt Artist Drawing Pens in my sketchbook. I then scanned the drawing into Photoshop and played around with it a bit.
I couldn’t decide if I liked it better with or without the crossbones though so I made both versions!
I’m into the last month of school so things are getting crazy busy for me!
While I have a few minutes I wanted to share some of the best artworks I have made so far this term. This one above is titled “Tangled Hands” aka “Healing Hands” in which I was dealing with the idea of trauma and the healing effects art can have. It is pretty large sized, like 24×36 inches so it took me forever!
I used a combination of watercolour and Sharpie pen to create this piece.
Below is an acrylic painting inspired by the historical painter Guiseppe Archimboldo. It is called “Wine and Cheese”. I know it’s a little funny looking, but look up Archimboldo’s works they are amazing.
Lastly I’ve added some psychedelic Op-Art I drew in my sketchbook using pencil crayons.
In other news, someone has asked to feature my recent Butterfly Zentangle piece in their online Art Zine! It comes out in a month or two so I will definitely be sharing the link to that.
In other goods news, my boyfriend is taking me to Ibiza this summer! Sooo exited! I have only been to Europe one other time and I loved it so I know it’s going to be amazing.
Anyways I hope to share many more things I’ve made with you all soon, probably more once the school year is all finished.
